Acura: 25 Years in Canada

It was on February 14, 1987 that Honda made an announcement at the Toronto Auto Show: it would introduce its luxury/performance Acura brand. Now, 25 years later, it will be showing some concept cars at that same show, including the NSX pictured here. Read all about it in my story in Metro by clicking here.

In review: 2012 Acura TL SH-AWD

You couldn't have made the old one look much worse, but Acura did a pretty good job of cleaning up the squid-beak design on its TL sedan for 2012. It's unusual for an automaker to send journalists off on events for a mid-cycle refresh, but this is a pretty important makeover for Acura. The Acura TL: Is it coming or going?

Back in 1947, Studebaker introduced a new design that had a trunk and deck lid with similiar lines, as well as a windshield and backlight that shared styling cues. The running joke among buyers was that you couldn't tell if the car was "coming or going". I wonder -- did Acura consider the Studebaker when it designed the TL?
