Back in the late 1970s and early 1980s, I drove a taxi in Toronto for six years. I bought a taxi-themed mug, and then a taxi-themed shirt, and the next thing I knew, taxis were "my thing."
They're now all stuffed into my bathroom, some 375-plus toys, meters, plates, rooflights, badges and assorted goodies (if you're sitting there anyway, you might as well have something to keep you occupied). I finally got them all photographed, as much for my own records as anything, so I can finally stop coming home with "doubles."

I just ordered a batch of out-of-commission New York medallions from the licensing commission, which sells them to the public. It never ends ...
