I was buying a pen from Wonder Pens for a friend, and if you're ordering anyway, well...so I got myself this Jinhao 165, in a pebbly "lava" finish. It's a Chinese brand that's relatively new to the Canadian market.
It cost all of $7.50. I wasn't expecting a Pelikan for that price, of course, but it's still better than I thought it would be. It could be better balanced, especially when posted, and its converter is an odd little thing with a strange removable ring, but it writes very well, considering how much it costs. It's a good and refillable alternative to a disposable fountain pen that you just toss when it's empty.
